*comes in sneaky ninja style* Yes, I know I'm starting another thread. XP I just love to start the party! * * * Alright, "The Charmed Return" (book 6 in "The Faerie Path") is coming out more than likely next year. Yes, I know. I wanna cry too. But! We can beat the depression by talking about a few points of this maybe-final installment. 1) Who is Tiana's unexpected ally that helps her find her faerie side? 2) If Tiana gave up her greatest desire (the faerie part of herself) and she finds it again, won't the deal of immortality be broken??? 3) If this is truly the final installment of the series, how will it end?

I'm not sure about all of these questions but I've got a very bad feeling that Edric is going to die, sacrifice himself for Tania, something like that. The poems (not with my books right now) kind of seem to insinuate something like that...

Hmm. Yeah, I have a feeling SOMEONE is going to die. But I don't think Edric will. I think Mr. Palmer might...

I think Tania's "greatest desire" might not be exactly the faerie part of herself. I think what she gave up was the possibility of having both - 'having her cake and eating it too'. Maybe she'll regain some of her memories, but she'll have to choose a world to live in permanently - probably the mortal world. That would be terrible for her Faerie family, but Edric would, of course, come with her. Probably Rathina, too. By the way, does anyone else have a hunch that Rathina and Connor will end up a couple?

Haha! I think they might, but its a pretty funny picture. Fierce Rathina and humble, slightly dim-witted mortal Connor...

I read somewhere that it was hinted Rathina was attracted to Connor. But I don't see them together. In the beginning, I could see Tiana together with Connor but after all he's done - its a no-no.
As for Tiana's greatest desire... I think that's true. She really wanted to be a part of both worlds. So her sacrifice was to be stuck in one world and I think because she wanted to see how her dad was doing and see him through, she was in the mortal world again.
I have a hunch that Tiana will have the best of both worlds in the end.

I don't see Rathina and Connor together either, Rathina's still trying to live down the whole 'releasing the Sorcerer King from prison and nearly killing everyone' thing, and will probably be reluctant to start some kind of relationship with anyone so soon. After all it's just like three months since she killed Gabriel.

Yeah. And they save love is forever in faerie, I think Rathina comes to term that maybe what she felt for Gabriel was more like a young girl's infatuation. Afterall, he could've used her to get what he wanted from Tania, you know?

personally I have a hard time believing the whole 'love is forever' stuff and I think that Rathina will find someone else, NOT CONNOR, and finally get her 'happily ever after' because that's what generally happens in faerie tales.

I don't believe in that "love is forever" crap in Faerie either. I think that's just an excuse so there aren't divorces and all and broken hearts...

yeah, and look how well that turned out for Eden, manically depressed for five hundred years, locked herself in a tower, and didn't come out for anything. That was partly because Titania disappeared but I remain convinced that her marriage to Earl Valentyne played a part too.

And I thought it was quite cowardly that Early Valentyne just left the court and her. What kind of crappy relationship is that?

Yeah, it was like out of sight, out of mind. Maybe his attraction to her was merely physical and once she locked the doors he didn't care about her mental state.

Messed up creep who was nice enough to help Tania but Tania should've had a talk with him. I would've said "Look, pal. I know you're important and all but so is my sister. Now, go beg for forgiveness and treat her right. NOW." XP

XD Yes but though Valentyne is a weak old man he is also extremely powerful.
XD He's like the Faerie Yoda. A bent old dude with a walking stick but extremely powerful
