So, what do you guys do when you hit writer's block? And if you have writer's block or can't piece something together, talk it here and we'll all pitch in to help! Tip: A good way to overcome writer's block is to just write/type whatever comes to mind. Save it as a new document and write as many scenes as you'd like, edit later. Then, as you pick up from where you left off, you'll gradually find that the pieces you wrote will fit. Its also a great way to write down any spur-of-the-moment stuff that you might end up forgetting later. ^_~ That's what I do.

I agree. That's what I do too. Its funny though, I always ask this question when I interview authors and you'd be surprised how many say eating chocolate does the trick!

Most of my ideas come to me at school, when I sleep, when I play with my dog... I have a little note pad and pencil and jot down the ideas. When I write, I don't go in a straight line. I have parts that I figure out how to weave them into the story.

That's so cool. I have a little notebook too. I do background of the story and then I type down the parts that come to mind.

I always have a notebook with me at school. I do all my writing freehand and I seem to get all my good idea's in math class. That's where I originally got the idea for the novel I'm currently writing.

I think up my ideas after having a life experience or have read a book or seen a T.V. show or movie.
